National Embarrassment: TRENTON Chosen USA's #1 Most Waste Littered State Capitol CITY

TRENTON, the seat of government for the entire State of New Jersey, has been selected as America’s Number One! Most Waste Littered State Capitol City, said STEVE SPACEK, Director of the American State Litter Scorecard.

At just around a population of 90,000, Trenton--named in the early 1700’s for settler William Trent, was the smallest in size chosen for this troubled municipalities group. Communities selected, like Trenton, were determined from a statistical methodology perusing varied benchmarks data and observations, including visible occurrences of unabated public spaces waste per square mile, and percentages of PROFILED LITTERERS –people prone or willing to litter or dump waste anywhere, anytime--that compose the total number of a locality's residents.

For a 7-plus, square- mile landed boundary, “Trent-Towne” packs a whopping punch for blocks upon blocks upon blocks of widespread unabated, 3rd-world style waste litter and dumping for an American public service epicenter. Trenton won out over nine other runner ups that included Massachusetts’ BOSTON, Texas’ AUSTIN, Georgia’s ATLANTA and California’s SACRAMENTO.

Major contributors to this local enigma now getting deserved national attention include the highly indifferent, un-checked actions by construction and landscape workers, and cigarette/vapor smokers—two of America's prime “profiled litterer” groups, comprising a considerable number of Trentonians.

The Scorecard's Spacek also puts a lots of blame on this situation upon equally indifferent, local and state public officials. “Its apparent maintenance personnel at Trenton’s Public Works Department and the New Jersey Department of Transportation are much too lax, disrespect their tasks and codified health and safety rules in the New Jersey Statutes Annotated. The local "Illegal Dumping Hotline" appears short-staffed, ignoring calls or not feeding messages to those who will get the job done. Violators are not getting punished, so environmental justice is being insufficiently served.”

Spacek admits since 2018 The Garden State has a notoriety as a Scorecard Top 10 USA “Most Waste Littered State.” Also, it does not help that other notable, anti-Green, urbanized behavioral influencing mentors are within two driving hours of Trenton: Two “15 USA Biggest, Deadliest Littered CITIES,” Number 3 PHILADELPHIA and Number 1 NEW YORK CITY.

Louisiana’s BATON ROUGE, South Carolina’s COLUMBIA, Indiana’s INDIANAPOLIS, Tennessee’s NASHVILLE and North Carolina’s RALEIGH were the five others yet mentioned outside Trenton winning the Most Littered Awards, from a pool of 50 potential US State Capitols.

Spacek's Scorecard website and social media posts provide regularly updated littering and dumping death data from pedestrian/motorist attributed “incidents” using respected State Police and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and Private Industry Survey sources. “These life-ending incidents kill on average three Americans a day and can occur anytime, under all types of weather,” Spacek said.
