Baby Raccoons Trapped In Engine Rescued By Bloomingdale Firefighters
The two raccoons snuck into the engine through a wheel well.
BLOOMINGDALE, NJ — Two baby raccoons trapped inside a fire department SUV were rescued by Bloomingdale firefighters Thursday afternoon.
The two raccoons were wandering around the fire truck, and entered the engine through a front wheel opening, the fire department said.
Animal Control Officer Lisa Perry helped firefighters remove the raccoons with a little mechanical work on the engine.
