Bloomingdale to Save $30K a Year by Switching Insurance Providers
Switch will occur later on this year.

The borough of Bloomingdale will save $30,000 annually by switching insurance providers for its employees, NorthJersey.com reported.
The council voted at a meeting recently to switch from the State Health Benefits Plan to the North Jersey Municipal Employees Benefits Fund. The switch goes into effect Aug. 1.
The borough will save $120,000 through 2014 by making the switch, the website reported, because it will not be subject to an 8 percent increase if it would have stayed with the state plan.
