Cocaine Arrest Made In Burger King Parking Lot: Butler Police
Police say the man had a bag of cocaine in the car.
BUTLER, NJ— Police arrested an area man for cocaine after finding him asleep in his car in a Burger King parking lot, Butler Police said in a statement.
Anthony Amanatidis, 47 of Highland Lakes, was sleeping in his car late on Friday night when police arrived at the parking lot.
The responding officer noticed Amanatidis' eyes were bloodshot and asked him to exit the car, according to a statement. According to police, Amanatidis speech was slurred, and a plastic bag with cocaine was visible.

Amanatidis was arrested and taken to police headquarters. There he failed a field sobriety test, and a drug recognition expert from Pequannock noticed white powder around his nostrils, police said. The expert also said Amanatidis appeared to be under the influence of a stimulant.
Police took a urine sample, and sent it to the New Jersey State Police Toxicology Laboratory.

Amanatidis was charged with possession of a controlled Dangerous substance (cocaine), being under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance, operating a motor vehicle under the influence and operating a motor vehicle in possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He was released to a friend pending an upcoming court date.
