Day Care Center Ups Enrollment, to Use Church Classrooms
Planning Board also approved subdivision of private estate and discussed signage into Serenity on Kinnelon Road.

The Kinnelon Planning Board approved Thursday night a day care center's use of The Reformed Church in Kinnelon's classrooms to accommodate increased enrollment.
The Growing Place, a day care center in Kinnelon, was granted conditional use of The Reformed Church's classrooms. The Growing Place has been approved to increase their enrollment from 23 to 37 students, with day care operating hours to run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The board also took separate action on the estate of John A. Talbot, presided over by Henry Talbot, executor of the estate at 1 Talbot Drive. According to Councilman Andrew SanFilippo, the property will be subdivided into two lots: one as Smoke Rise Farms, and the second, a residence.
Also discussed at the meeting was the entrance sign to the business Serenity, located on Kinnelon Road. Board members discussed the parking lot entrance sign, which has caused ongoing traffic problems.

"Just because it is not in our jurisdiction does not mean we should ignore the issue," said Tamara Roselius, planning board member and head of the Sign Committee.
Roselius said they will discuss the sign with the traffic safety officer on how to move further with this issue.
