Deli Sells Homemade Polish Foods at Butler Marketplace

The Butler Marketplace features a variety of homemade and locally grown products.

The Butler Marketplace comes to town with fresh produce and baked goods the second Saturday of each month, and will be moving to a new location at River Place in June. Among the vendors are farmers who use local produce to make products. This story is the final profile in our series of local farmers whose crops and creations are for sale at the marketplace.

  • Name:  Synnove Reilay, Krakus Deli Polish foods
  • Products:  “What we offer are polish foods,” said Reilay. “We have pierogies. We have keilbasy. We have homemade soups. We have poppy seed bread. And we have all kinds of Polish treats, handmade, and very quick for dinner, which families like, and they’re most delicious.”
  • What’s Unique: Krakus Deli is family owned and operated. According to Reilay, they have been in business close to ten years. All of their products are made in Phillipsburg, NJ.  “It’s healthy,” said Reilay. “Our foods are made with fresh ingredients.” Reilay is a fan of Krakus Deli breads, “The poppy seed bread is awesome, especially with a cup of coffee,” she added.
  • Why The Butler Marketplace:   “Having face-to-face contact with our customers is really nice. When you are at a farmers market, you have more opportunity for that than you do in a regular store,” explained Reilay. “And it’s also fun to get to meet the other vendors and see the different foods that are available at a farmers market.”
