Emily Biunno Awarded Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Scholarship
Wayne Hills High School graduate will attend Ramapo College of New Jersey

WAYNE, N.J. – (July 23, 2015) – Emily Biunno, a Wayne resident and 2015 graduate of Wayne Hills High School, has been awarded the 2015 Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Scholarship. Biunno was evaluated on her academic performance and potential, extra-curricular activities, teacher recommendations and an essay. She will receive a total of $4,000 toward her education.
Biunno will be attending Ramapo College of New Jersey and plans to major in mathematics with a secondary education certification while continuing to play competitive tennis. During her high school career, Biunno maintained a 4.0 GPA while balancing her academic schedule, tennis, school and community activities, and the National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, National Italian Honor Society and MU Alpha Theta Math Club – Math Honor Society.
Presented annually for over 20 years, the scholarship is available to high school seniors who are related to affiliated sales associates or employees of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in New Jersey and Rockland County, New York. The 2015 Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Scholarship was presented to Biunno by Rob Norman, regional vice president, Region 2, of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in New Jersey and Rockland County, New York.

“Emily is a highly motivated individual with a great interest in personal accomplishments as well as giving back to the community. The determination she has shown during her high school career will serve her well in the years to come,” said Norman.
Biunno’s grandmother, Alba Martino, is a sales associate affiliated with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Kinnelon. Martino has 21 years of experience as a real restate professional and serves home buyers and sellers in Morris, Passaic and Sussex counties.

Biunno served in several leadership positions in school activities. She chaired the National Art Honor Society, was treasurer of the Student Dance Association and helped guide Peer Leaders and the Freshman Buddy Program. Biunno also made All-County tennis teams in her junior and senior years. Active in her community, Biunno raised money for cancer awareness through Relay for Life, volunteered approximately 200 hours over five summers with Safety Town, and took part in the St. Mary’s Church peer ministry program. She has danced at the Gloria Frances School of Performing Arts since nursery school.
