Vintage Radios & Early Days of Radio Broadcasting

Attention Radio Fans, History & Science Buffs, and Antique Lovers!

Ray Chase and members of the New Jersey Antique Radio Club (NJARC) will present a “Radio Broadcasting in America” program on Sunday, January 15th, at 1:30 p.m. in the Long Hill Township Library. 

Prior to and during the presentation, vintage 1930s radio programming will be played through radios that were used in the average home during radio's "Golden Age."

The “Broadcasting in America” program traces the history of radio during the early 20th century. The program will focus on how radio entered the home and it’s important social and financial impact on everyday American life.

In addition, the New Jersey Antique Radio Club (NJARC), has graciously installed an exhibit of antique and vintage radios, gizmos and books at the Long Hill Township Library, 917 Valley Road in Gillette, NJ.
