Hackettstown Man Arrested on Warrant
Police said passengers gave conflicting statements about identities.

A Hackettstown man was arrested on a warrant Tuesday after said he told police conflicting statements while being the passenger in a vehicle pulled over on High Street in Butler.
Police said they witnessed a white Volkswagen driving with an inoperable headlight at 10:14 p.m. Ptl. Jorge Reyes stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver and two passengers. Police said during the investigation, the vehicle occupants allegedly made conflicting statements about their identities, but one passenger, Jason C. Baron, 20, of Hackettstown, was discovered to have a warrant out for his arrest from the West Milford Municipal Court for $250.
Baron was arrested and transported to the Butler police station. He was later released in his own recognizance.
