Injured Hikers Rescued From Bloomingdale Park

The two hikers were rescued after midnight, police said.

BLOOMINGDALE, NJ — Two injured hikers were rescued from Norvin Green State Forest in Bloomingdale, police said in a statement.

Around 8:30 p.m. on Aug. 24, two female hikers called Passaic County Sheriff's Office to say they were lost in the forrest. Their cell phone batteries were low, and died after making the call, police said.

Bloomingdale Volunteer Search and Rescue Team searched for four hours before finding the women after midnight, police said. Both had minor injuries, but declined medical treatment.
