Kids Learn Law Enforcement at Kinnelon Junior Police Academy

Twenty three children interested in law enforcement are getting the opportunity to see the work of officers firsthand this week as the is in full force at the
The children began the program Monday, learning discipline and uniform principles, addressing officers by shouting, "Sir, yes sir."
On Tuesday, the children were met with the Passaic County Sheriff's Office mounted patrol, bomb squad and bomb-detecting dog, Lorenzo. Also this week, the children will travel to the Morris County jail, learn about drugs from the DEA and tour the The children will graduate from the program Friday with a special ceremony, each receiving certificates of completion.

The children who are participating are mostly from Kinnelon, although the program was open to children from surrounding towns as well.
