
Stonybrook school was buzzing with activity Thursday, October 2, as the school held it’s first STEM Night. “STEM” stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. The evening was sponsored by KEHSA and created and implemented by Kinnelon H.S. students. The 13 KHS leaders, who share a passion for the STEM disciplines, began preparing for the event this past summer. STEM night evolved into six different interactive experiments which covered topics in : Magnetism (Andrew Koutsokoumnis, Maria Matthews, Peter Matthews); Seismology (Shannon Schrope, Meghna Sen, Sarah Wang); Tangrams (Paulina Naslonski, Filip Naslonski); Density (Lara Balick, Allison Davin); Electricity & LEDs (Francesca Bello, Brandon Bott, Connor Chiuchiolo) and Freezing Temperature (Dan Pileggi, Nick Schrope, Tony DiRubba, Jaclyn Kelly).
