Kinnelon Police Leaders Complete 300-Mile Ride To D.C. To Honor Fallen Officers

KINNELON, NJ — Kinnelon Police Captain Nick Cifelli and Chief Joe Napoletano have completed the Police Unity Tour, a 300-plus-mile bike ride from New Jersey to Washington, D.C., to honor law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty.
The Police Unity Tour brings officers from across the country together each year to support the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial and the families of fallen officers. Its motto: "We Ride For Those Who Died."
The ride coincides with National Police Week, which runs through May 16. Mayor Jim Freda and the Borough Council marked the occasion with a statement thanking Kinnelon's officers for their service.

"We would like to extend our sincerest appreciation to our officers for their tireless dedication to the Borough," the statement read.
"Their unwavering commitment and diligence are instrumental in maintaining the safety and prosperity of our community."

The mayor and council also thanked the officers' families for their support.
