Kinnelon to Install Safety Improvements at Recreation Fields

New fencing and mesh netting will be installed at the recreation field on Boonton Avenue.
Councilman James Freda said at a council meeting said that new fencing and 140 feet of mesh netting would be installed at the field, NorthJersey.com reported. The netting would be used to protect the soccer field from foul balls hit from the adjacent to a baseball field. Freda said netting is also needed down the first- and third-base lines.
Fencing is also needed at Field Two along the first-base line.
Freda said he hopes the work would be completed in the spring.
