The Borough is extremely sympathetic to everyone’s situation and is well aware of the unemployment issues that you may be facing. We will do our best to get through this current pandemic situation and will work with anyone having financial difficulties. We have decided and voted by Resolution to extend our second quarter grace period on your 2020 property taxes from May 11, 2020 to June 1, 2020. Executive order #103 enables municipalities to extend the grace period for the 2nd quarter taxes for 2020. This will provide relief for our residents who may be experiencing financial difficulties as a result of job loss or health related issues. Please understand this resolution does not give our municipality any additional time to pay collected taxes to the county and the school districts, but we would like to thank our Board of Education for working with us to make sure we were able to afford to offer this help to our residents that might need this extension. We would also like to thank our residents that were able to paid the 2nd quarter taxes on time to help us with our financial obligations.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call or email us and we will certainly do what we can to work with everyone.
