Man Suffered Medical Emergency Behind The Wheel: Butler Police
Police say the man suffered a medical emergency behind the wheel, and later died.

BUTLER, NJ— A Kinnelon man who suffered a medical emergency behind the wheel has died, Butler Police said in a statement.
James Esposito, 73, was leaving the Meadtown Shopping Center on Route 23 South when he suffered a medical emergency, police said. After hitting a parked car, Esposito traveled across four lanes of traffic, hitting the center concrete divider.
Police arrived on scene "within seconds" according to a statement, and found Esposito unconscious. Although they immediately began first aid, including CPR, he stopped breathing and died shortly afterwards at the hospital.

During the accident the concrete divider was pushed into oncoming traffic. All southbound lanes and one northbound lane were closed for three hours as police investigated the Tuesday afternoon accident.
