Melody and Motion Collects Donations for Kinnelon Food Pantry
New business owner offers free family music class in support of the local food pantry.

On Small Business Saturday, Ruth Mirabella, the new Owner and Center Director of Melody and Motion, Music Together in Kinnelon NJ held a free family music class and only asked that families donate a single item to the Kinnelon Community Food Pantry. “As a new small business owner, I wanted to participate in Small Business Saturday, but I also wanted to give back to the community. Rev. David DeSmith of St. David’s Episcopal Church in Kinnelon, where Music Together classes are taught, told me that his church supports the local food pantry. This seemed a perfect solution. Nine families registered to attend the class and together we collected a box full of items for donation. It’s a great beginning. I look forward to finding other ways to help the community through music,” said Mrs. Mirabella.
