PEQUANNOCK, NJ— A New Jersey Transit Bus caught fire on Route 23 in Pequannock Tuesday night, snarling traffic.
The bus blew out a rear tire, and friction from the wheel and the road sparked the fire.
All lanes of Route 23 were closed around 8 p.m. for several hours as firefighters worked to put out the flames. The rear of the bus was damaged, CBS 2 reported.

There were no injuries on the bus. Only the driver was onboard at the time, NJ.com reported.
