BBYC hosts Toys For Tots Collection, Saturday, Oct 4. Memorial Field, Butler

Saturday, October 4, BBYC takes on the Ringwood Rattlers beginning at 3:30 at Memorial Field in Butler.
BBYC is pleased to continue their tradition of participating in the USMC Reserve Toys for Tots program. Each spectator at Saturday’s is asked to bring an unwrapped toy(s) for a boy or girl. BBYC has been a strong supporter of Toys for Tots for over 15 years.
In the past, local Marines have brought canons, trucks and other memorabilia to display at the field and regaled us with a canon shot at every Touchdown. The Marines also proivide a color guard salute before the playing of our National Anthem.

The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.
The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.
