4 Competing For 2 Seats On Verona School Board: 2019 Election

VERONA, NJ — The battlefield is set for the Verona Board of Education election this November.
According to the Essex County Clerk’s Office, four candidates have filed to run for two open seats on the board as part of the 2019 general election. Each term lasts three years.

- James Day - Verona District First
- Glenn Elliott - no slogan
- Sara Drappi - no slogan
- Lynn Halsey - no slogan
Two current board members have terms that expire in 2020: Elliott and Day.
The last day to file school board election petitions was Monday, July 29. The 2019 general election will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 5.
