Alleged ‘Impersonator’ Really Worked For PSE&G, Verona Police Say
Verona police got a report about an alleged "PSE&G impersonator." It turned out that there was no need for concern, authorities said.
VERONA, NJ — Sometimes things are what they seem.
On Wednesday, the Verona Police Department received a report about an alleged “PSE&G impersonator” in the area of West Lincoln Street. It turned out that there was no need for concern, police said.
“It was confirmed the person in the area is, in fact, a PSE&G employee,” the VPD stated.

While the incident turned out benign, residents thanked police for remaining vigilant and responding to their calls.
“Better safe than sorry,” one person wrote online.
