VERONA, NJ — The Eric Mortenson Scholarship Fund Committee will hold its annual fall golf tournament on Tuesday, Oct. 13 at Montclair Golf Club, with proceeds supporting the Eric Mortenson Memorial Scholarship for Verona High School seniors.
The tournament is the fund's primary annual fundraiser. In spring 2026, the event helped provide $5,600 in scholarships to eight Verona High School seniors. Proceeds may also support other Verona sports programs.
Verona residents, full-time Verona employees and Verona High School graduates are eligible to participate. Each golfer may also bring up to three guests who do not meet the residency requirement.
Registration opens Aug. 10, with a limited number of spots available at $175 per golfer. The fee includes golf, a cart, dinner, beverages and gratuities.
Registration forms can be submitted in person at the Verona Community Center, 880 Bloomfield Ave., or mailed to the center, attention: Eric Mortenson Golf Outing.
