VERONA, NJ — Verona residents can step up to the plate when Everett Field opens for community play.
The field and batting cages at 300 Bloomfield Avenue will be available from 3 to 9 p.m. Saturday, September 19, when organized games and practices are not in session, according to the township.
Residents can stay active, practice their skills or enjoy the field with family and friends. The ADA-accessible playground will also be open to the public.
"Everett Field has been a place where Verona residents of all ages have gathered, played and made memories for generations," township officials said.
The announcement does not specify whether equipment will be provided, reservations are required or activities would be canceled because of rain. Residents can stay up to date on events through the township recreation department calendar.
