Weather forecast:

• Friday: Mostly sunny and pleasant, with a high of 71 and low of 49 degrees.
• Saturday: Sunny to partly cloudy, temps: high: 67, low: 53.
• Sunday: Some rain in the p.m.; cloudy, with a high of 66 and low of 61 degrees.

📰 News we're reading

• Verona's Rent Control Rewrite: What Would Change (TAPinto.net) — Verona officials are moving to cap annual rent increases for senior and disabled tenants at 3%, a major shift from the inflation-based hikes that neared 8% in 2022. The proposed rewrite of the township's rent control law also simplifies how yearly increases are calculated and tightens enforcement, with a public hearing and final council vote expected later this fall.
