Bloomfield Avenue Stabbing Victim May Have Been Guatemalan Immigrant: Prosecutor
"This was not a stranger-to-stranger attack," Essex County prosecutors say.

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — The victim of a recent fatal stabbing at a Bloomfield Avenue apartment was apparently a Guatemalan native living and working in New Jersey, prosecutors say.
On Sunday, a young man was fatally stabbed around 2:30 p.m. in an apartment above “a business he shared with other men” on the 400 block of Bloomfield Avenue in Caldwell, according to a joint news release from Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn Murray and Caldwell Police Chief James Bongiorno.
The name of the victim is not being released at this time because his identity has not been formally confirmed and next of kin have not been notified, authorities said.
