Brush Fire Extinguished: Cedar Grove, Montclair Firefighters Team Up

Montclair, NJ – Montclair and Cedar Grove firefighters teamed up to extinguish a large brush fire on Edgecliff Road Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Montclair Fire Department, firefighters arrived at the scene around 3:33 p.m., and were directed toward the rear of the property where they found multiple areas of brush burning.

A Cedar Grove brush fire truck was also dispatched to the scene, and together, both agencies extinguished the flames, authorities stated.

There were no injuries or property damage reported, and all units cleared the scene at 5:35 p.m., authorities stated.

The cause of the fire is undetermined, Montclair firefighters said.
