Burglar ‘Ransacked’ Cedar Grove Home, Police Say

Someone forced open a garage window to get inside, Cedar Grove police said.

CEDAR GROVE, NJ — A Cedar Grove resident reported that someone burglarized their home earlier this month, authorities said.

According to the Cedar Grove Police Department, an officer responded to a Chestnut Court home on a report of a burglary on the evening of May 6. The resident told the officer that they recently returned after being away from the home and found that someone forced open a garage window.

Some of the rooms were “ransacked,” police said.

Cedar Grove detectives are investigating the incident, police said.
