Car Burglar Stymied In Cedar Grove Thanks To Common Sense: PD

CEDAR GROVE, NJ — Common sense precautions taken on the part of Cedar Grove residents and vehicle owners helped to thwart a recent car burglary attempt earlier this week, authorities said.
According to the Cedar Grove Police Department, the would-be burglar was caught on video around 1 a.m. on Monday. Security footage taken from several homes showed a man “trying the door handles of several vehicles” in driveways around Glen Rock Road.
The attempted burglaries were stymied because the vehicle owners locked their doors and removed key fobs, police said.
