Car Crash Puts Two in Hospital

Two cars collided in an accident on Route 23 in Cedar Grove

Two people were hospitalized, after an accident, near CVS, 1041 Pompton Ave., in Cedar Grove, at about 9:30 p.m. Thursday night, when an oncoming SUV cut infront of the car police said. 

The car, a 2007 Lexus, crashed into a telephone pole after the accident with the SUV, 2008 Toyota Rav4, and both vehicles were towed from the scene.

The Toyota attempted to make a left hand turn into the pharmacy parking lot, while heading toward Verona, when it hit the Lexus.

The driver and passenger of the Lexus were both transported to Mountainside Hospital in Montclair. The driver suffered a back injury and the passenger injured their arm.

The driver of the Toyota complained of chest pains but refused further treatment.

A careless driving summons was issued to the driver of the Toyota
