Car Stolen In Verona, 15 Break-Ins; Cops Issue Warning

Verona Police: 1 vehicle taken, 15+ entered in Laning section. Remove keys/fobs and lock your cars.

VERONA, NJ — Verona police are warning residents to take extra precautions with their vehicles after a car was stolen and several illegal entries were reported in the township.

On Monday at 5:23 p.m., the Verona Police Department issued the following advisory:

“1 vehicle taken, 15+ entered in Laning section. Remove keys/fobs and lock your cars. Report all suspicious activity to the Verona Police Department.”

The VPD alert comes less than a week after West Caldwell saw 21 car burglaries on the same night. Police did not catch a suspect in that case, but later released surveillance photos of the alleged thief.
