Cedar Grove Burglary Suspect Apprehended In Rutherford: PD
A man was caught on video burglarizing a self-storage facility on Little Falls Road in Cedar Grove, police said.

CEDAR GROVE, NJ — A New York man accused of burglarizing a self-storage business in Cedar Grove was apprehended in Rutherford last week, authorities said.
According to the Cedar Grove Police Department, officers responded to DonRic Self Storage on Little Falls Road at 9:24 a.m. on Sept. 1 after getting a report about a burglary that took place overnight. When officers reviewed security camera footage taken at 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 31, it showed a man smash the front glass door with a stone block, then enter the business. A short time later, the man exited the building carrying stolen property.
Cedar Grove police circulated an image from the footage within the department and with other nearby agencies. Police eventually identified the subject in the video as a suspect in an unrelated incident that took place in Little Falls the same night.

After identifying the suspect as Nathaniel Suarez, 28, of New York City, authorities charged him with burglary and entered him into the National Crime Information Center data base as a wanted person.
On Sept. 4, Rutherford police called their peers in Cedar Grove and said they had Suarez in custody. He was subsequently transported to Cedar Grove, processed and taken to the Essex County Correctional Facility to await a bail hearing.
