Cedar Grove Car Chase Ends With Crash Near Recycling Center
Cedar Grove police arrested a New Jersey man after he led an officer on a motor vehicle chase that ended with a crash.
CEDAR GROVE, NJ — Cedar Grove police arrested a Bloomfield man after he led an officer on a motor vehicle chase that ended with a crash near the municipal recycling center on Wednesday morning.
According to the Cedar Grove Police Department, an officer attempted to stop a car around 8:26 a.m. after determining that the driver had a suspended license. At that time, the driver – later identified as Najee Brown, 24, of Bloomfield, allegedly failed to stop and attempted to elude the officer.
After a brief car chase, Brown crashed the intersection of Little Falls Road and Bowden Road, police said.

Police arrested Brown and charged him with eluding. Officers also determined that he was wanted by the Bloomfield Police Department for eluding charges stemming from a Jan. 2 incident.
Brown wasn’t injured in the crash and remains in custody with charges pending, police said.
