Cedar Grove Director of Curriculum Resigns
Thomas Altonjy taking job as Warren Hills Regional School District Superintendent.

The Cedar Grove Board of Education this week announced the resignation of Thomas Altonjy, the district's Director of Curriculum and Instruction.
Altonjy served as interim principal of Memorial Middle School in the early part of the 2010-2011 school year before making the move to curriculum and instruction.
His resignation will be effective July 8, and he will be compensated for unused accrued vacation time, the district announced.

Altonjy will be taking over as Superintendent of the Warren Hills Regional School District in Warren County, Cedar Grove Board of Education Frank Mandala confirmed.
A published report quoted Altonjy as saying of his new position, "I felt from the beginning this was the place for me...I look forward to the next four years of taking a great school district and making it even better."

According to the report, Altonjy's starting salary in his new job will be $155,000.
