Cedar Grove Doctor's Office Employee Arrested For Theft, Fraud: Police

The woman worked for two Pompton Avenue doctors, Cedar Grove police say.

Cedar Grove, NJ – Cedar Grove police charged a Hamburg woman with theft and fraud last month after she allegedly improperly transferred funds to her own credit cards while in the employ of two Pompton Avenue doctors.

According to the Cedar Grove Police Department, police arrested Terri A. Kinney, 51, of Hamburg, on April 21. Her arrest followed a detective bureau investigation into claims that she utilized an electronic credit card processing service to improperly transfer funds to her own cards.

In addition, Kinney is accused of submitting fraudulent health insurance claims in her own name, police said.

Authorities stated that the incidents allegedly occurred between February and July of 2015, and resulted in $13,075 in fraudulent credit card transfers and $2,037 in fraudulent health insurance claims.

Authorities charged Kinney with Computer Theft, Credit Card Theft, Theft, and Health Care Claims Fraud.
