Cedar Grove Event: St. Catherine 5K Fundraiser Slated For Oct. 28
St. Catherine of Siena Parish in Cedar Grove will host a USATF-Grand Prix 5K and Fun-Fit Mile fundraising event on Oct. 28.

CEDAR GROVE, NJ — On Saturday, Oct. 28, St. Catherine of Siena Parish in Cedar Grove will host a USATF-Grand Prix 5K and Fun-Fit Mile fundraising event to benefit the St. Catherine of Siena Heritage Fund.
According to a news release from event organizers, the 5K will start at 9:15 a.m. at Cedar Grove High School, go through suburban streets on a paved roadway with downhills and uphills, and finish at the 50-yard line of Cedar Grove High School’s new track.
The Fun-Fit Mile - four laps around the high school track - begins at 8:45 a.m. Participants can walk all or part of the mile. Non-run-or-walk supporters are encouraged to register as a walker or cheer on participants as they cross the finish line. Supporters may also sponsor a runner or walker.

The advance entry fee of $ 30 is due by Oct. 26 ($27 for USATF members) for either event, all ages. The fee on race day is $35 for all. Registration is not available on Oct. 27. Oct. 28 check-in, registration and packet pick-up begins at 7:30 a.m. A runner awards ceremony begins at 10:30 a.m.

The event is organized and administered by Barwick Marketing & Events Group, a firm with experience working the NYC Marathon, NYC Half Marathon, Ridgewood Run and J.P.Morgan Corporate Challenge Series.
