Cedar Grove Firefighters Graduate Training School

The Cedar Grove graduates did the training completely on their own time, most of them working late into the evenings, officials said.

CEDAR GROVE, NJ — Six Cedar Grove firefighters recently graduated from training school, sweating out more than 180 hours of courses. The graduates did the training completely on their own time, most of them working late into the evenings, officials said.

The graduates, five from basic Firefighter I and one from the advanced Firefighter II school, displayed “dedication” in their efforts, CGFD Deputy Chief David Shaulis said.

The graduating firefighters included Ryan Ring, who completed the Firefighter II classes, and Brett O'Connell, Michael Daino, Gerard Castellano, Nickolas Mossey and Shea Sweeney.
