Cedar Grove Historical Society Hosting Music Lecture Wednesday
William Paterson University's Dr. Steven Marcone will trace the evolution of music listening tastes in America at the library.

The Cedar Grove Historical Society will host Dr. Steven Marcone, Professor of music and Chairperson, William Paterson University a 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 23meeting at the Cedar Grove Public Library, 1 Municipal Plz. (behind Township Hall).
Dr. Marcone will trace the evolution of the listening tastes of America in the 1950s, from the popular songs by Nat "King" Cole, Perry Como, Doris Day, and Pat Boone, to the early pioneers of rock and roll.
The program is funded by the Horizons Speakers Bureau of the New Jersey Council for the Humanities, a state partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities. The meeting is open to the public and is free of charge. Light refreshments will be served.
