Cedar Grove Junior Breaks Essex County Track Record

The Cedar Grove Boys and Girls Varsity Track Team competed in the sectional championship in Newark on Saturday, May 11.

David Njoku of Cedar Grove broke the Essex County record in the triple jump when he soared 47-8 in the Colonial Division, according to the Star-Ledger.

"I think it was speed and my second phase that was really important today," Njoku told the newspaper. "I just ran as fast as I could and jumped as far as I could and was able to get the record."
