Cedar Grove Resident Says $10K In Jewelry Went Missing After Contractor Visit

The Cedar Grove detective bureau is conducting an investigation of the contractor, authorities said.

CEDAR GROVE, NJ — A Clover Court resident recently reported that $10,000 in jewelry went missing from their home, Cedar Grove police say.

According to the Cedar Grove Police Department, the resident told officers on Aug. 3 that they stored the jewelry in the attic, close to the home’s HVAC system. The resident told officers that a contractor performed work on the system around the time the jewelry disappeared.

The Cedar Grove detective bureau is conducting an investigation of the contractor, who wasn’t named.
