Retired Cedar Grove Police Chief Receives More Than $100K Pension

New Jersey Watchdog releases updated list of six-figure pensioners, which includes one from Cedar Grove.

The list of retired public workers named to New Jersey Watchdog's "$100K Club" - those who collect more than $100,000 in state pension each year - includes one former police chief from Cedar Grove.

Retired Cedar Grove Police Chief Jeffrey Rowe makes $112,651 in state pension, according to figures released this week by New Jersey Watchdog.

Rowe served the Cedar Grove Police Department for 32 years, including 12 years as chief before retiring in July of 2010.

The complete "$100K pension club" list includes 1,474 former public employees in the state. At the top of list are retired school executives around the state - Charles T. Epps, former Jersey City School Superintendent and A. Z. Yamba, former president of Essex County College are at the top making $195,000 in state pension per year.
