CEDAR GROVE SPLASH SWIM TEAM PARTICIPATES IN FOOD DRIVE COMPETITION

The Cedar Grove Splash Swim Team participates each year in a friendly competition with another local swim team to see who can collect the most food for local pantries.

This year Cedar Grove is taking on West Caldwell to see who wins bragging rights on the total weight of nonperishable items collected during the drive. The goal is to collect 160 lbs. of food. Donations can be made at the drop box behind the check-in desk at the Cedar Grove Community Pool from now until Monday, July 14, when they will be brought to the away meet at West Caldwell for the weigh-in.

Suggested items include: peanut butter, jelly, soups, vegetables, cereals, pastas and sauces, tuna fish, and snacks. All contributions will be brought to the Caldwell Pantry and St. John's Soup Kitchen in Newark.
