Cedar Grove Traffic: Lakewood Avenue Water Main Replacement Project Begins Monday

Cedar Grove, NJ – Work on the Lakewood Avenue Water Main Replacement Project is scheduled to begin on Monday, March 21.

According to the Cedar Grove Police Department, the project is expected to take four weeks to complete.

During this time, Lakewood Avenue will be closed to westbound traffic (from Ridge Road to Bowden Road) from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., police stated.

“To allow access to the Memorial Middle School during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up, eastbound Lakewood, from Bowden to Ridge, will remain open to traffic,” police stated.

“Please be aware there will be work in progress on the roadway and extra caution will be required. In addition, there will be no parking of vehicles on the roadway during work hours. We do expect residents to have access to their driveways and we not expect interruptions in water service at this time. We will keep you advised of any changes in this information as the project progresses.”
