Cedar Grove Woman Admits Using Heroin Prior To Car Crash: Cops
A Cedar Grove woman admitted that she used heroin prior to crashing her car on Ridge Road, police say.

CEDAR GROVE, NJ — A Cedar Grove woman admitted that she used heroin prior to crashing her car on Ridge Road earlier this month, police say.
According to a Cedar Grove police statement, the single-car crash took place around 5:29 p.m. on Feb. 1. After arriving at the scene, officers found the driver, a 27-year-old local woman, unconscious in the driver’s seat.
The driver – who wasn’t named in the police statement – later regained consciousness. When found in possession of heroin, the woman admitted that she ingested it prior to operating the vehicle, police said.

After submitting the woman to a field sobriety test, police arrested her and charged her with driving while under the influence of an intoxicating liquor or drug. She was processed and released with a summons to appear in municipal court, police said.
