Christmas at Kip's Castle

'Home for the Holidays' Tour of Kip's Castle decorated in 1928 style.

The first floor of Kip's Castle is open to the public for the month of December. The theme this year is Christmas 1928 which showcases the magnificent splendor of the home's architecture.

Kip's Caslte was built in 1905 to replicate a medieval Norman Castle. Frederic Ellsworth Kip and his wife, Charlotte, lived here until 1926. The prominent stained glass windows are now considered to have been made by the famous Tiffany Studio. The floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace in the parlor is centerpiece of the home and the 9 foot Christmas Tree compliments it. Large windows offer stunning views of the New York City skyline as well.
