Clara Maass Medical Center Medical Staff Goes Red for Women
The American Heart Association established the annual American Heart Month observance to urge people to get their hearts checked regularly.

Employees, medical staff and volunteers at Clara Maass Medical Center, an RWJBarnabas Health facility, recently celebrated American Heart Month by wearing red in support of the American Heart Association’s (AHA) Go Red for Women campaign.
Each year, Clara Maass Medical Center participates in the annual observance to remind patients and each other that our hearts don’t just beat for one person – they beat for our spouses, children and grandchildren, siblings, friends, colleagues and loved ones.

The American Heart Association established the annual American Heart Month observance, which takes place in February, to urge people to get their hearts checked regularly. According to the American Heart Association, the GO Red for Women campaign aims to increase awareness of heart disease and stroke in women, as they cause one in three deaths among women each year – more than all cancers combined.
