Clara Maass Medical Center Presents "Forget Me Not - an Alzheimer's Discussion"

To raise awareness about Alzheimer’s disease and its impact on caregivers, Clara Mass Medical Center is holding “Forget Me Not - an Alzheimer’s Discussion” on Thursday, September 10 at 11:30 a.m. at the Henrietta Benstead Senior Center in Kearny. In collaboration with the Alzheimer’s Association, a Clara Maass Medical Center health expert will lead a discussion on risk factors and treatments available as well as how to help cope with the disease.

The Alzheimer’s Association reports an estimated 5.3 million Americans of all ages currently have Alzheimer’s disease. The number of Americans with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias will grow each year as the size and proportion of the U.S. population age 65 and older continue to increase.

“Forget Me Not - an Alzheimer’s Discussion” will take place at the Henrietta Benstead Senior Center located at 60 Columbia Avenue in Kearny. Lunch will be provided. To register, please call the Kearny Senior Center at 201-991-9322.
