Early Morning Drop-Off Program Instituted at North End School
New program gives parents more flexibility in school drop-off time.

Through the end of the school year, parents will now have options what time to drop off their son or daughter at school. Here’s how the new morning drop off option will work:
- Parents/guardians will drop off their children at any time between 7:40 and 8:20 a.m.
- For safety, the parking lot will be closed between 7:40 and 8:20 a.m.
- Parents/guardians will park on the street and escort their children to the school’s 6S entrance, near the gym. A staff member will supervise the children, as they come into the gym. For security reasons, parents are not to enter the building.
- Students will be supervised in the gym by North End staff.
- Once in the gym, students will not be allowed to leave without supervision.
- At 8:10, students will line up in the halls, outside their classrooms.
- Students who do not choose the early morning option will enter school at 8:10 a.m., through their normal entrances, and line up in the halls, outside their classrooms, too.
- At 8:20 a.m. all students will enter their classrooms, to start the first class.
The Board of Education approved this new program on Tuesday, Sept. 27. It is voluntary, free of charge, and does not require parents to sign up.
