It was not a strong showing for Essex County cross country at the annual Meet of Champions held on Saturday morning at Holmdel Park. Only 11 Essex County runners competed in the race and only one, finished inside of the top 10.
Millburn's Blake Udland led the way, placing seventh with a time of 15:50.32. Five other Miller boys completed the race, though the next highest finisher, Robert Stone, was 90th. The only non Miller boy to finish the race from the county was Nicholas Lukas of Verona, who finished 64th overall, clocking in at 16:45.63.
Mt. St. Dominic's Amanda Corbosiero placed 22nd, with a 19:11.26, and was the highest placing Essex County female in the race. Her teammates, Ashlynn Fields and Caroline Haskins, also finished the race, Fields was 33rd and Haskins placed 156th.

The only other female county finisher not from Mt. St. Dominic was Livingston's Shannon Kelly, who took 49th with a 19:45.08 mark.
