Please join us, The 50 Group, on February 4, 2011 at 12:30 pm. for a delightful afternoon of musical history. Duncan Kidd is a devotee of the history and performances of musical theater and has seen almost every major musical since “Oklahoma”. Duncan has presented several series for the Adult School of Montclair as well as several other local organizations.
The early days of the American Musical, from 1900 to 1920’s , will be the focus of Duncan’s presentation with an emphasis on the music of Jerome Kern. His talk will be sprinkled with vintage recordings of early songs sung by the artists that introduced them.
Please bring your own brown bag lunch – coffee, tea and dessert will be provided. You don’t want to miss this enjoyable program.
