Old Verona Night

Join the Verona Historical Society for its Old Verona Night to be held at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 4 at the historic Verona Methodist Church, 26 Montrose Ave.

Your tour guide, Robert L. Williams, will accompany you back in time and down the streets of a very different Verona (in photos). He will introduce you to some of Verona's notable personages including members of his own family who helped to shape the community we know and love today.

You will enjoy a steamboat ride on Captain Cook's launch on Verona Lake and visit the little boys and girls at the Newark City Home where Verona High School is today. The event will conclude with a tour of the church and is graceful stained glass windows--several panels of which are credited from Tiffany.
